Interim Executive Director Dr. Bruce Sensenig
Dr. Sensenig served as the Superintendent of Schools for the Cocalico School District in Denver, Pennsylvania from 2006 through his retirement in 2016. Dr. Sensenig previously served the Cocalico School District as a teacher, principal and administrator. Since his retirement, Dr.Sensenig has served as the Acting Superintendent, Acting Assistant Superintendent and acting Middle School Principal for the Eastern Lebanon County School District in Myerstown, Pennsylvania.

    Dr. Jeff West - Appointed Executive Director

    The Personnel Committee of the Board of Directors of the Lincoln Intermediate Unit 12 is pleased to announce that, at its public meeting to be held on January 8, 2019, the Committee will recommend to the Board the approval of the appointment of Dr. Jeffrey West to serve a four
    year term as the LIU’s new Executive Director. Dr. West was selected from a national pool of candidates developed through its consultant, Don Stevens + Associates of Sun Prairie,Wisconsin.

    Dr. West currently serves as the Chief Administrator for the Nebraska Educational Service Unit 13 located in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Dr. West has served in this capacity since 2008. Prior to his current position, Dr. West held the position of Superintendent of Schools for two public school systems in Nebraska and previously served as a principal and classroomteacher. In all, Dr. West has been employed in public education for more than thirty years. The Personnel Committee is confident that Dr. West has the leadership skills to move our
    Intermediate Unit forward. We look forward to welcoming Dr. West into our community.

    The Executive Director is the Chief Executive Officer of the Intermediate Unit. He is charged with implementing the policies and procedures established by the Board of Directors and with the overall responsibility for the educational and financial operations of the intermediate unit.

    The Executive Director also chairs the Superintendents’ Advisory Council, acts as liaison to district superintendents and school boards, works with local district personnel, represents the intermediate unit on community boards, and serves as liaison to the Intermediate Unit Executive Directors, the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the State Legislature.

    The Assistant Executive Director supports the Executive Officer of the Intermediate Unit.  Along with the Executive Director, the Assistant Executive Director provides overall direction for administrative and day-to-day functions of the organization. The Assistant Executive Director facilitates and supervises cross-functional intermediate unit teams by providing leadership and oversight to achieving the organizational goals. In the absence of the Executive Director, the Assistant Executive Director assumes responsibility and oversight for the intermediate unit operations.

    The Assistant Executive Director provides leadership and expertise to intermediate unit stakeholders regarding educational best practices and delivers timely legislative updates to the Board of Directors, school boards, local school personnel, and central office administration.

    Diane Klunk – Administrative Assistant
